This was our first contest with the newly renovated PCARS Club Station. The new station consisted of a completely redesigned Shack, that included a new operating postion with a TS850 with the SB220. Plus we completely refurbished the tower, moving it up another section to about 80' with a PRO67B on top. We have a ATB-34 as the second antenna sidemount on the same tower. It worked pretty good.

We had tremendous noise during the contest. It nearly made it impossible to hear. It impacted our results substantially! Never the less a few weeks after the contest, AF4Z, AK8R and KC4HW were able to track down the source of the noise to a leaking transformer and the power company fixed it. So hopefully we won't have that problem in the future.

We had a lot of operators for the contest and that was a good thing. A bad day contest is better than a good day working... hi hi
