The Florida Boys' is NOT a formally organized club. However we are, in the purist meaning of Amateur Radio fellowship, a group of individuals that come together to help each other have fun with Hamradio. Each of us bring a little something different. Many are technically oriented, others are not so technical, but each makes a contribution to the group and it seems that everyone else appreciate it.

The Florida Boys' as so dubbed by Ron/K5DJ at the 1997 Dayton Hamvention RTTY Banquet, actually began in 1995 with a club project for a RTTY modem.

The activities have extended beyond RTTY as you can see by the list of contest results on the left that the group has participated in the Florida QSO Party, CW and SSB contest, and of course Field Day. So if you are in the area sometime, please check in on the 146.685 repeater and see if something is going on with the group. Heck, visitor's are always welcome!
